I was disappointed when I first tried these on. The edges were blurry and using it gave me a headache. I had no problem with the Dominator V3s.
What ended up fixing all the above was the foam faceplate. I used the thicker ones because I though it would be more comfortable and that's what I used on the V3s.
After switching to the thin foam faceplate, everything was sharp! My eyes just needed to be closer to the lenses in order to achieve focus. Now I'm loving it!

I was a little surprised that at $500 you dont get at least a weak generic receiver with these goggles. I would have thought that that at least would be included. That being said, if you are going to buy these, go get yourself a receiver as well or you won't be flying FPV the day they show up.

As for the goggles themselves, they are great. I don't have any issues with blur, the image is great and clear. The goggles themselves are pretty awesome. DVR is great. If you want them, get them, it's mostly worth the cost, just be sure to get a receiver as well.

These are my first Fat Shark goggles. I waited to get the HD3 version as reviews of the prior HD2 complained about blurryness on the edges (the FOV of the HD3 has been reduced.) Well, it seems they almost got it right. The picture from the FPV camera itself is quite crisp and clear. The HD3s have higher resolution than most any analog VTX can provide. So much so in fact, that it really highlights focus problems and the damage I've slowly accrued to the HS1177 in my vortex 250 quad. I ordered another camera (and a spare lenses) to get a crisper picture again like some of my others. Though it appears Fat Shark still hasn't totally fixed the blurriness at the corners issue. My Vortex 250 OSD prints text all around the edges. I can not get all corners in focus using the IPD adjusters. The best compromise I can seem to get is set the left edge sharp in my left eye (leaving the right edge slightly blurry) and the right edge sharp in my right eye (left edge slightly blurry.) My brain seems to blend these and everything appears readable. The 'sweet spot' angle to maintain this is quite slim though. The goggles have to be on your face 'just right'. So much as wiggle your nose or have the head strap slide and they can shift off. I have not had them long enough to determine how big a problem this is in reality.
