SMART Adapter

The SMART Adapter is an outstanding device and I have ordered many different types of these and they are built strong and will last under stress but it can't connect to a 6S battery as advertised because it has a "female IC5" where the "IC5 male" should be. Horizon just needs to fix the verbiage...

IC5 Battery / IC3 Device adapter

This is a sturdy, well made adapter. It's a nice, convenient length, and the whole thing feels strong. I use it to connect smart 4s batteries to my Avian 80 amp ESC, which has IC5 connectors. This has the IC connectors, which not only look and feel better than the EC connectors, it has the data wire for if you're using IC3 batteries with IC5 ESC's.

There's a picture, but in case you have any confusion, this is not the right adapter to charge 6s batteries, or any other batteries that have the EC5/IC5 connector, nor connecting those batteries to ESC's with the IC3/EC3 connector. This is really only if you want to connect IC3 batteries to ESC's with the IC5 plug. If it's a dumb battery and/or dumb ESC, just get the EC3/EC5 version. Look at the diagram and picture, it's not that complicated.

Works exactly as advertised!

I love the IC connectors, feel higher quality compared to EC plus the additional smart functionality. Essential part for Spektrum chargers and 6s or high capacity batteries

Careful to not confuse the adapters

If you have an IC5 battery that you want to connect to an EC3 Charger (such as the Spektrum S2100) this is not the cable you need, you need the model number SPMXCA507, this: https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/adapter-ic5-battery-ic3-device/SPMXCA507.html

Beware that the Spektrum S2100 charger does not come with an adapter on the box, you will need to buy the SPMXCA507 adaptor.
I find the schematic confusing, I'm not sure if this is entirely correct, but I'm new and I'm just trying to save someone else to have the same problem I'm facing right now.
